The objective of the program is to build skill of the unskilled village youth so that they will con-tribute to the sustainable operation and maintenance of the village rural water supply system be-sides providing plumbing and allied services to rural households as means of livelihoods for them. The training program is designed to skill the intended candidates on Plumbing, Water Pump Operation, Basics of Electricals and Solar Pump Operation

Nutan Unnata Abhilasa Odisha (NUA ODISHA) is a visionary initiative aimed at transforming the skill development landscape of the state in alignment with Odisha’s Skill Vision 2024. Spearheaded under the Chief Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (CMEGP), the program focuses on empowering youth through advanced skilling, entrepreneurship, and industry-relevant training. By establishing world-class institutions like the World Skills Centre and fostering strong coordination among state and central agencies, NUA ODISHA aspires to position Odisha as a global leader in skills.

The Placement Link Training Program (PLTP) is a flagship initiative under Odisha’s Skill Vision 2024, aimed at bridging the gap between skill development and employment. Aligned with the Chief Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (CMEGP), PLTP enhances the employability of youth through industry-aligned training, robust placement support, and partnerships with national and global skill institutions. As part of the broader mission to make Odisha a hub for skilled talent and a strong contender in World Skills Competitions, PLTP ensures inclusive access to training, especially for disadvantaged groups, while fostering inter-departmental coordination and mobilizing resources from CSR and international agencies.

DDU-GKY is a placement-linked Skill Training Initiative of the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India. DDU-GKY was announced on Antyodaya Diwas, 25th September 2014. DDU-GKY is a part of the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) and is tasked with the dual objectives of adding diversity to the incomes of rural poor families and cater to the career aspirations of rural youth.

The Rural Mason Training (RMT) program is designed to develop a pool of certified and skilled masons to support the rapid and quality construction of rural housing across the state. Through structured modules such as Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL – 10 days) and Short-Term Training (STT – 45 days), participants receive both theoretical knowledge and practical exposure to modern construction techniques. This initiative not only ensures timely completion of homes under various rural housing schemes but also empowers local youth with employable skills, contributing to sustainable livelihood opportunities and rural development.
